The difference in altitude is important and develops mainly in the first part and at the beginning of the second. The ascent on the limestone in some very exposed points to be dealt with carefully presents in some stretches the need to keep to some safety steel cables anchored to the rock and an iron ladder to overcome to get to the most famous stretch for its beauty scenic and photos of ritual with the view of Sugar Loaf from above. The excursion continues with no less effort and with a continuous ups/downs that allows you to get to the Grand Canal allowing in the hottest periods opportunities for a bath and break for packed lunch. Here the tuna fishing activity is still alive, and we arrive at the tonnara of the ancient village of Portopaglia. Long sandy stretches that once formed large dunes, spectacular coves and Spanish towers embellish the area and bring you back to the island's past.
