We will visit an <strong>enchanting monastery</strong> with a <strong>wealth of artwork </strong>and historical value. The day ends with a visit to a <strong>family-managed wine estate</strong> where we will indulge in a <strong>light meal </strong>made from regional produce paired with famous<strong> Chianti Classico wines</strong>.<br />You will meet your English-speaking, <strong>official tour guide</strong> and fellow travellers at Siena railway station early in the morning. Board the coach which will take you to the Chianti: here the <strong>bike riding adventure </strong>begins. However, before we begin riding, you will be given a chance to familiarise yourself with the <strong>e-bikes </strong>and equipment. Technology has certainly made it easier to bike in this world-famous cyclists' paradise. You can adjust your bike's setting to the difficulty level you would prefer, depending on whether you would like the bike to do most of the work or whether you would prefer the exercise yourself. Fitted with silent motors, these e-bikes allow you to <strong>experience the sights, sounds and peace of the Tuscan landscape</strong>. We will cycle along <strong>quiet back roads</strong> for 20 km, far away from the hustle and bustle of traffic. Lasting an average of 3 hours, we will ride through orderly <strong>vineyard rows</strong>, <strong>charming olive groves</strong>, <strong>cool thick forests</strong> and tranquil villages. Breaking an otherwise traditional Chianti landscape, are several unusual modern artworks which are installed along country roads and even among the vegetation! We will take frequent breaks along the road to take in the <strong>splendid views</strong>, enjoy the fresh air and stretch tired legs. Just before we reach our lunch destination, we will stop at a <strong>wonderfully restored 15th century building </strong>which used to be a monastery. Meander through the <strong>cloisters </strong>and the beautiful <strong>Renaissance gardens</strong>, before we view the stunning chapel. The chapel itself is known as "Little Sistine" and has a wealth of frescoes that have survived through the ages. You also have the option to sample some local wines here. Our final bike ride is a short distance away, and will lead us to a <strong>family-managed wine estate</strong>. We will explore the <strong>winery's vineyards and cellars</strong>, and find out how wine is produced here. After a very physical day, we will sit down to platters of <strong>delicious local fare</strong>, <strong>olive oil</strong> and the <strong>farm's very own wine</strong>. The van will take us back to Siena railway station after a <strong>7-hour bike riding experience</strong>. It's not every day that we can <strong>enjoy a very intimate Tuscan adventure</strong>.</p>
